Talian Space Forces: Part 2 . After the construction of the national Talian space station, Talo could begin mass production of space borne warships as well as further orbital defense platforms. Among the first of the new era warships is the Talian heavy frigate. Talian frigates are relatively small, quick, and are fairly well armed with point defense batteries and a nose mounted magnetic accelerator (MAC) cannon. Frigates are typically used for station defense as well as ship to ship combat depending on the size of the enemy ships. Next in line is the Talian "battle dreadnought." Battle dreadnaughts are armed to the teeth with 2 heavy pulse laser batteries, 1 mass driver (railgun) battery, 6 point defence batteries, 6 torpedo launchers, and the primary MAC cannon. About half the size of the super MAC cannons mounted on space stations, the dreadnaught's MAC is capable of firing three rounds on a single charge. Battle dreadnoughts are currently the largest warship employed by the Talian Navy. Last in this batch of warships is the Talian "fleet destroyer." Fleet destroyers come somewhere in between battle dreadnoughts and standard destroyers in terms of offensive weaponry. The fleet destroyer looks very similar to the frigate superficially, but they are completely different ships. For starters. the fleet destroyer is nearly double the size of the standard frigate, and that goes for its nose mounted MAC as well. In fact, the fleet destroyers MAC gun takes up the entire front half of the ship. The fleet destroyer also has 3 belly mounted pulse laser batteries. As their name would suggest, the fleet destroyer is created for the sole purpose of destruction of an enemy fleet. Last but certainly not least is the Talian orbital defense platform. The ODP is in essence a very bare bones version of the Talian space station, only equipped with firing control, and two docking stations for anything from frigates to fleet destroyers. With all of these new additions to the Talian Navy, Talo hopes to edge closer and closer to complete naval dominance. .
