From the Archives . Cleaning out my apartment and found some zip discs. One disc contained images of this spaceship; which according to the date stamp was built in November of 2003. . So, what can I tell you about this... I think one of the ideas was to build a medium sized ship that could land on the surface of a planet, but also have smaller, one-man, fighters come into the docking bay while in space. It's vaguely shaped to resemble the Defiant from Star Trek: Deep Space 9. Looks like the original Blacktron color scheme was a big influence on this. I'll add commentary of what I remember with each picture... Retractable landing gear. This was the missile bay, which sat atop the ship. There were rubber bands used so that a 'hammer' could shoot the missiles out. Retractable gunners stations. The gunners stations were meant to control these rotating turrets (which actually oscillated!) These guns oscillated as well. This is the docking bay in the center of the ship with one of the fighters. The fighters could also be towed behind the ship. The tow mechanism could fold up behind the ship, or even be detached. Well, that's it. Hope you enjoyed this trip down memory lane as much as I did!
