SMoT Final Round: Akara vs. Era . For the SMoT final round. Good luck Era! Also, I chose to write out the battle myself. I felt that doing it like that would better express how I wanted to make it and there are some scenes that I can't properly do in lego form. Questions, comments, concerns, and ways to improve are welcome. . Posted almost too late. Sorry, I've been procrastinating (Darn you minecraft!). Anyways, this round was to make mine and my opponent's Self MOC's into Gods. I chose Set(h) and Horus. My opponent's version was more important then mine, so I started off with Set/Era, which explains why Horus/Akara is shoddy. I'm not satisfied at all with it. They can be distinguished as Karda and Akara from their color schemes (gold replacing yellow because of the lack of parts and the fact I don't have a yellow Hau) and their shoulders. It is easy to tell Horus has Avohkiis and Era has Haus. The SMoT Era's Entry The current Akara(s) The current Toa Karda Something for Steve Please excuse the lack of poses. I ran out of time. With these MOCs I was heavily inspired from Berial. In which some designs I used but modified in my own way. I also give credit for inspiration from many members of the Piece Out facebook community. One of the first to give advice being the one and only Ben Cossy. On with the story! Horus surveyed the desert area, looking for his opponent. The hot sun was bearing down upon him like a miner on a rock. Just standing there was making him feel lethargic and sleepy. Some of it was his fault though, as he decided to wear armor for the battle. He was the smaller of the two, so obviously he would more susceptible to injury. He had opted to not rest in the time he was waiting, lest he could have been struck down in his sleep. If he died, there would have been no vengeance and Lower Egypt would have been lost. There was always a thought in his mind that Set was purposely causing the desert to be hot and dry, to play tricks with his mind. The sun was already starting to set, although when Horus had arrived to the scene the sun had just risen. Set controlled darkness, perhaps he was controlling the battle scene. Horus knew that Set were to take advantage of the surrounding area during the battle, but not before. At last he saw something in the distance. Easily distinguished from the golden glint and the ears, he knew it was Set. He withdrew his Khopesh from his back, getting into a battle position. There would have been only one victor- Horus. “Looks like you finally showed up, Set. Took you long enough,” Horus said coldly. Instantly the wind was knocked out of him, as Set had tackled him with full force. His Khopesh was knocked out his hand about a foot away from him. “It doesn’t matter. You’ll die swiftly anyways,” Set pulled up Horus by the neck, slightly squeezing it. The pain was sharp, but it wasn’t unbearable. “Get up and face me!” Set said to him. Horus was promptly released form Set’s grasp and landed on the ground with a thud. He got up, grabbing his Khopesh. “I want a clean fight. There will be no..” he was cut off from Set lunging at him with his Khopesh. Horus parried, although his weapon was pulled out of his hand from the two weapons clashing. He should have expected it, being the weaker of the two. Without weapon, Horus raised his arms defensively. Set raised his Khopesh up and swung downwards, only for Horus to kick his hand. The sword fell down to the ground, opposite from Horus’. They both locked eyes, for a few seconds, only for Horus to jump at his Khopesh. Set drew his staff. As Horus stood with his sword, Set swung down as before. Horus wasn’t that slow as to not expect for something to happen like that. He jumped out the way, cutting off his aggressor’s left hand. Set roared in pain and dropped his staff, then recovering after several seconds. Tackling Horus, Set gouged out his eye with his un-severed hand. It was a fair trade-off in his opinion. Horus screamed, pushing Set off of him. He raised his Khopesh, cutting off Set’s head off in a single motion. He took it up in his hands and raised it to the sky as a sign of victory. Right then, there was a strike of lightning and the clap of thunder. Rain started coming down in small droplets, then as a downpour. Egypt would finally be in peace.
