(2012-05-03) AC0305-S "Piranha" Swarm Fighter LDD . Short range figher . Created by the Andros Corporation in the year 2626, the AC0305-S is a support fighter for larger convoys and cruisers. Deployed in large numbers, these short range fighters make up for their lack of fire power and range by adding incredible speed and sheer weight of numbers to any attack formation. Cheap to build and repair, they are the backbone of Earth's defences. This was one of my many (many) LEGO doodles. I had no idea where I wanted to end up with this, I just had the idea for a fighter/star craft idea with a forward cockpit and a large multi-directional engine assembly. Thoughts: I'm about 80% happy with the results. LDD has limitations regarding closing up the holes in the hull, but over all, this is possibly one of my favourite fighter designs to date. Scale wise it doesn't really fit with anything I've done before, as a single man fighter it is too large for the 25th Century Mech scale, but quite clearly too small to fit a minifig (probably).
