3 Year Annivesary . On April 28th 2009, I joined MOCpages. This MOC shows what sort of things I have built since my last anniversary, and how they compare to my past builds. . 2011: 2011 was, unfortunately, not a very busy MOCing year for me. I started High School and the time I had to spend on homework and projects bit a serious chunk out of my building time. On weekends when I wasn't busy, I struggled to find the energy to build. I did, however, still manage to create quite a few Star Wars and Collectible minifigure MOCs and I have managed to learn some new techniques and skills over the passed year. I hope that in the future I will be able to move away from just building scenes from things, and possibly build things from other themes and create working models. The above picture has the usual red roman numeral that I include in my anniversary write-ups, but this year only includes 3 minfigures, representing the 2 main themes that I built from this year (Star Wars and Collectible Minifigures), and my sig-fig. In the past few months, I updated my homepage to be much cleaner and more interesting. It shows some important stuff, like my "Comment Policy," and acts as a record of all the contests I have been in and judged. My First MOC: My first actual MOC was on from the TV series Lost. The photography was decent as I had a good camera, but the creation was sloppily built and wasn't very interesting. After my first year, I started using SNOT building. SNOT building worked will in this example, but my other builds often ended up being rather dull and similar. After 2 years of building, I had discovered and started using some more complicated SNOT methods and built some MOCs using tiles. Now, I combine SNOT building, greebles and sometimes even layered terrain in my builds. Most of my builds follow a backstory and they all have some action in them. Clone Wars Episodes: One of the main things that I build are scenes from the Clone Wars TV series. I began with some poor quality ones, but I have decided to redo all of them so that once I have finally completed the series, my scenes will all be on similar quality levels. My latest episodes have been very detail orientated rather then being large. I have almost completed the first season in MOCs. 457th Corps: At the beginning of 2011, I joined the 457th Corps RPG on Flickr. I have participated in every mission since I joined, with my sig-fig "CT-03-2011 - Chaser" featuring in each build. I currently help to administrate the group and I hold the rank of Lieutenant. Collectible Minifigures: Lego's Collectible Minifigures theme has become my second favourite theme. I have completed all 6 series and have started buildings scenes for each figure. My MOCs now have more variety because they are not only from one theme. Lego Laughs: At the end of 2010 I built several Star Wars comic strips. They were fairly funny, but the builds were not very good. At the end of 2011, I built batch 2. Although the jokes weren't always too funny, they did come with some nice clean builds and clear photos. Custom Figures: My only current decaled Minifigure is my ARC Trooper Fives. I have made several purist figures this year though. Over the coming year, I plan to make some more decaled customs with proper waterslide paper and other equipment that I have ordered. End Note: I would just like to thank all of you hear on MOCpages who stuck through me this past year, and gave me suggestions on my MOCs when I eventually posted them. I hope that this year I am able to build more often and become popular again. None of my MOCs last year went on to the Explore page, but now nearly 300 people have added me as a favourite builder. Thank you to those people and to those who just take the time to comment on my humble creations.
