Metru-Nui Whenua: 2012 Bio Cup Competition! . My entry for The 2012 Bio Cup Competition! I chose Metru Whenua because, while I never got him, he was easily one of the coolest looking characters in bionicle history. And since I got the mask from a friend just days ago, I was really excited to get building! And you judges better like it, because I sacrificed my self-MOC for the pieces needed to complete him D:< . Wish me luck, everyone else :3 . .
The original.
Mine. Woo! Legs are 100% custom, head is custom, feet are semi-custom and the body is custom! I think that's a record for me!
Blurry pic fail :( .Standing with his weapons. The original didn't have a heartlight, but I couldn't resist not giving him one. I feel it just completes a MOC.
His weapons. I don't have the original ones, so I made my own. They are quite different, but at the same time, they'd do pretty much the same thing.
Standing without weapons. He looks a bit dull when he isn't in an awesome pose.
His feet. I aimed to make them look like boots with a bit of mud on the end to give it a more 'gritty' appearance, but it just looks like grey tips, which I guess it is anyway :/ .
FREAKIN' AWESOME LOWER LEGS OF EPICNESS. I really love these things. Flush with the armour, the piston kinda things at the back, the little minifig hands...
I just realized I didn't take a pic of the upper legs :O . Here's the back of the arms with some kewl piston greebles. It's pretty obvious how the upper arms are made.
The side of the torso. the net adds to the gritty-ness (is that a word?) of the MOC, and I think it looks cool :D .
His back. Nothing suuuper special here. Just some armour and the custom head.
Speaking of a custom head, here it is! Front...
...And back. It fits in quite snugly, and looks good too. You should try it for Yourself!
Front view without armour or netting.
Back view without armour or netting. Here are some kewl poses for You....
...And that's it!
Bye everyone! I really hope You like it as much as I do. It was a really fun build and he's one of the coolest things I've made in a while, and I'm glad I have the opportunity to put him in a competition, let alone the 2012 Bio Cup! Once again, rate and comment, because feedback is always appreciated!
