Story Of Fayku Season 2: Episode 1: Returning To Moria . Why is this bit even here? . Fayku, season 2. This weekend I've uploaded a lot of comics, becuase I wanted to, and because it's the end of the half-term, so I thought let's do a kind of extravaganza thingy.
Fayku and Arkay wander the last leg of the journey to Rivendell. "I hope Farhart survived Minas Tirith." Fayku mused. "Yes. Although I do understand his desire to fight. Was it The Lonely Mountain or Rivendell under siege, you or I, respectively, would have wanted to aid in the defence."
"Speaking of which..." They had finally come into view of Rivendell.
They dismounted their horses and made their ways in.
"Ah. There is Drainir." Fayku hurried over to the other Dwarf, who was standing on one the bridges looking out across Middle Earth. "What did you summon me for Fayku?" Drainir asked. Fayku, realising that Drainir was not altogether in a good mood, got straight to the point. "Do you not feel it? Moria is alive again....and it should not be. I feel it stronger, being one of the few that have been there that are still alive today, but you must-" "Yes Fayku. I feel it. But what would you like me to do about it?" "You are old Drainir. You lived long in the company of Elves. Would you not like to return, at least once, to look upon things of fine Dwarven make?" At Faykus words a fire lit up once again inside Drainir, and he longed to return to Dwarven kingdoms. "Yes...yes Fayku. I shall accompany you."
The three returned to where the horses were. "And you Arkay?" Fayku asked his friend. "I shall journey for part with you, but then I must return. I have business of my own my friend."
They mounted and rode off.
After two days of leisurely riding they made camp on a lump of rock, near the foot of the mountain. "This is where I must leave you." Arkay said. "We shall meet again my friend. As shall we Drainir. Farewell for now!" And with that he was gone.
The next day Fayku and Drainir made their way to the door by the lake. Now, you will probably be aware that this door was destroyed sometime after the Fellowship left Rivendell, but of course the Dwarves didn’t know that.
This is why the only thing that surprised them when they found it was that it was not secret (as it had once been, and as Fayku remembered it). “This...this is very strange.” Fayku said, with an air of foreboding. They made camp there for that night.
The next day they entered Moria. They found it, while not particularly alive, it was at least functioning. Noises could be heard, of mining, and of other machinery of Dwarven craft. A Dwarf hurried up to them. “Thorzad the Great requests your presence.” He said.
To be continued....
