TAIS-01-P "Spearman" . While waiting for the final design modifications of the S-21 Naginata, another ESC R and D team was working on this prototype. . The Tactical Armored Infantry System, which is essentially the little brother to the ARTCS, is still currently in developmental prototype status. Currently not equipped to carry a pilot, the prototype is operated by remote nueral trace. Unfortunately, remote operation is not battlefield feasible. The TAIS prototype was developed for deployment to urban areas, where the ARTCS have limited mobility. The smaller TAIS can moved around easier through narrower streets and alleyways. Once the final version of the prototype is completed, basic infantry will be able to operate this unit with ease from an armored backpack-like cockpit. STORY NOTE: The TAIS unit was in development when the contract between the ESC and GAIA was created. Once the development of Spearman was complete, large numbers of units were supplied to GAIA infantry to aide in ground operations. CREATOR'S NOTES: So I reworked the "Elvis" bot doodle I made. IT works alot better now. But the cockpit has been very difficult to complete.
