Nightcrawler: Bionicle Style! . (Bio Cup 2012 Round 1 Entry) Topic 4: Reinterpreted Character. Match up: Toa Phosphorus VS. Chopperskull Link to opponent: Chopperskull . (Bio Cup 2012 Round 1 Entry) Topic 4: Reinterpreted Character. Match up: Toa Phosphorus VS. Chopperskull Link to opponent: Chopperskull Link to Bio Cup link Well I must say this was a really exciting and fun build. As soon as I read my topic I was flooded with tens of ideas about who to build. I wanted to do something as great as Shadowgear's last year entry for this topic. In the end it was down to Black Widow and Nightcrawler but I felt that Nightcrawler lent himself better to the Bionicle look. I hope you enjoy! Well here he is looking ninja. His feet and lower legs. Better view of the lower legs. I really wanted these to look like they do in the comic. Upper legs. They are simple and jet black just like the original character but have some nice details. I think that slope really looks like the muscles in my reference picture. The waist. Nice pattern. Another pic. Torso. I really like how this looks. I think i got the black and red V pattern with the shoulder pads. Another view of the shoulder pads. Upper arms are nothing special but they have good flow. Lower arms. Not my best. The are again hero factory and therefor simple but the armour worked well for this guy and as I don't usually go cannibalize creations for pieces. Hands. I really liked how the fingers are the right number! Spiked tail. Epic head. From the front. It's a modified version of shadowgear's human head. I really liked the the way I could get translucent yellow eyes and have the blue face with hair. Back More back. More back. Tail. I really love this tube. Ninja pose! Crash! Bash! Here I just wanted an excuse to show off my lego store haul. Many, many blue studs! Just a reference picture. Hope you guys enjoyed the Moc! I think I did a good job of representing the character. He was an incredibly fun build and I really like his unique connections. I really hope I make it through this round and I think I have a good chance! For those wondering he is 25.2 cm tall. I got permission from the judges to have the extra .2cm. (it's worth it!) Overall I hoped you enjoyed! Toa Phosphorus
