MXSC-R1-Fail - Meow . I twat I taw a putty tat . Mr. Xenomurphy's Superhero Contest Category 1.2 Fail What if a superhero fails to save the day? Build a vig (min 8 x 8, max 16 x 16) and show us a hero trying to avoid a catastrophe, fighting a villain or nature itself … and failing horribly. Dark humour is appreciated. When the bat signal went out over Gotham City, Bats was on a date… The Penguin had placed a penguin bomb at Gotham Zoo to rid the city of all the big cats (birds really don’t like cats). Time was slipping away and still no sign of Bats, so Robin, jealous of Batman’s fame and desperate for a little attention to come his way decided to play being the hero. In his haste to save the day he neglected to notice he was in the panther enclosure… Little black panther, gonna have robin feathers in his teeth tonight! The zoo gate is shaped like a cat. I tried for a Tim Burton-esque feel to this moc. It looks a bit more Beetlejuice than Batman, but it has that creepiness to it that a Burton film has. The penguin bomb... a penguin... with a bomb... After planting the bomb, Penguin runs into his sewers under the city. The panther is fully pose-able, see cutting room pics at the end of post for extra images: I made the base with three sewer holes on three sides so I could light it up. Extra pics from the cutting room floor: Thanks Mr. Xenomurphy for organising this contest, and thanks judges for doing your thing! Good luck all.
