MXSC-Round 1-Fight-- "Heads" . A scene from the Hellboy story "Heads." In the fight category of Mr. Xenomurphy's Superhero Contest .
For Mr. Xenomurphy's Superhero Contest, I knew that I wanted to do two things. The first was that I wanted to use a superhero that I did not think would come up in others' creations, and the other was that I did not want to use minifigs. I was successful on both accounts.
Hellboy is my all-time favorite superhero. As a fan of the movies and the comics, I wanted to portray one of the creepier stories, "Heads." In this story, Hellboy goes to a Japanese home and is welcomed by a group of people. That night, he finds their headless bodies. The heads are out and about, searching for meat, with Hellboy being their chosen dinner.
Now I realize that there is a lot of overhang, but in the group it says that arm, leg, plant etc. overhang is acceptable. It is also clearly a 16x16 base, so I should be okay. However, if the judges feel it isn't acceptable, I am perfectly alright with that decision and be disqualified. I am happy with this creation and would rather not change it.
As you can see, this is the comic version of Hellboy, with shorts and hooves. Instead of his revolver though, I made him Big Baby from the second Hellboy movie. I plan on making a few more BPRD members from the comics in the future, so keep a look out. Thanks for viewing.
If you are not familiar with Hellboy, I suggest you read both the comics and watch the movies, as they both paint a picture of his character. I hope you enjoy them.
