The potions classroom . I built this as a summer project after seeing the actual set from Harry Potter. I hope you like it. . A couple of weeks ago I went to the Harry Potter experience, and saw all the sets firsthand. I really enjoyed it but if you want to go there I have one piece of advice: donít try the butterbeer, just donít. But out of all the sets there, my favourites were Gryffindor common room and the potions classroom. So I decided to build it! Ron is having one of his potions accidents, Hermione is reading, Neville is looking on in fear, Harry is slicing a shrivel fig, Draco Malfoy is watching Ron franticly trying to save his potion, and Snape is criticising everyone except Draco. When I had the idea I never thought Iíd be able to build it, I simply didnít have enough light grey bricks. So I decided to use textured bricks as well which I think has worked well in lending itself to give that dingy air of a dungeon. Unfortunately I didn't have enough Gryffindor uniforms for Harry Ron and Hermione. This is a view of the top that my brother helped me take. This creation also has a light function. This is a picture of the minifigures that I used. This is a pretty standard Ron from the Diagon Alley set. Harry, of course the main character in Harry Potter is again a standard character and comes from Harry Potters luggage trolley. Hermione (again from Diagon Alley) without a book for a change! My custom Neville was a bit of a last minute addition, I used Lego's version of Draco's head for Neville. This is my custom version of Draco Malfoy, I used the head of an imperial officer in Star Wars for his face. This version of Snape is from the new Hogwarts castle set and yet again was purchest on Bricklink. The furniture is mostly for show but some have functions. This is a picture showing the various functions, a magnifying desk thing, a potions cabinet that opens to reveal a hidden compartment, a bookcase technique that I picked up some where, and a cabinet that contains more potions. This is a picture of the actual set that I visited. Thanks for viewing!
