Smaug the Tremendous . "Well, thief! I smell you and I feel your air. I hear your breath. Come along! Help yourself again, there is plenty to spare!" . *SPOILER ALERT* I don't want to give away the movie or anything but there's a fierce dragon named Smaug in "The Hobbit". This is my third LEGO version. The two previous attempts can be seen here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=11805 I finally finished the rest of him, I had previewed just his head before. I have to be honest about the treasure, most of it is gold foil I got from a craft store. I used real LEGO coins to make imprints into the foil and then draped it around a LEGO base. Then I spread the real stuff around, pretty convincing, huh? I can't wait to see what he looks like in the movies. Let's just hope LEGO makes a decent version of him. Updated: 08/25/2012 Here's Smaug in action. I made his wings out of red vinyl from the craft store. "Old fool! Why there is a large patch in the hollow of his left breast as bare as a snail out of its shell!"
