Alien Defense Uni-bike - A.D.U. . A fast & agile all terrain vehicle, built for Lego's A.D.U. . The A.D.U. - A.D.U. had a crew of two: a driver and a gunner. It was heavily armed with four "Flick" missiles and two guns. Sensors included a camera with night-vision modes and a laser rangefinder. The A.D.U. Alien Defense Uni-bike was steered using fly-by-wire technology and maintained its balance due to a special Horizontal Overdamping Guidance unit (HoG unit). This was also known as the "Hand of God" unit. The large tire and working suspension allowed the A.D.U. - A.D.U. to travel at high speed across rough terrain. It could be banked into sharp corners, as shown in this photo. Whilst the HoG unit allowed the A.D.U. - A.D.U. to stop, it had to be parked in a special stand when shut down. Here we see a uni-bike being filmed by a news crew at a special fueling station. Possibly the most dangerous part of being in an A.D.U.- A.D.U. crew was balancing up and down the access ladder to the cockpit, as can be seen at the back of this photo. FOURTH WALL This little MOC was inspired by several things. Firstly I'm building something else in blue & yellow at the moment. Secondly, cheap A.D.U. sets on amazon. Thirdly a drawing in this book. Lastly it was seeing all NINE big, old Technic tires on Mortal Swordsman's amazing car transporter.
