Why?
Tortuga: Turtle Extraordinaire . Yep, its a turtle. . First off, a shout out is in order for Dave Benson for his awesome work with LDD animals which inspired me to make stuff like this. This is a proof of concept build which I used in advance of my next creation. The design for curved sections is an evolution of the organic articulation work I've been doing with dragons, especially Nyeba. It is a useful little boondoggle as Tortuga can be used on any number of scales and the technique in the shell is very versatile. On minifig scale he can give rides to Mermaids/Mermen. On micro scale he can be the giant turtle who bares the mystical lost island paradise on his massive shell. I added this detail in haste and may come back to it later for improvements.
