G1 Transformer Optimus Prime (mini figure scale / transformable) . I am glad to show you my Lego Generation 1 Transformer Optimus Prime - a truck at mini figure scale and it is fully transformable into robot mode. . I have recently completed the final modification of this optimus that I built about a year ago. I have tried to include as much as details I could so to produce a vehicle with good realism. In vehicle mode, a big front bumper is installed at the front edge. The details are also include a pair of front head light, side rear mirror, and horn on the roof. I have also used some pieces of chrome tile to create the metal style of it. A pair of large fuel tank are on the side. The back has got indicator and break lights. The metalic silver wheels are used instead of other colour, and dark blue instead of blue for the legs to make it looks better. However, the dark blue parts are relatively rare and cost me more money from building this. There is a pair of standard chrome lego truck exhaust pipe. Doors can be opened and there is a couple of standard seat and a steering wheel on the driver side. It fits 2 mini figures. The turnable stuff is to be connected with the container trailer. I have tried hard to manage the size of it into mini figure scale. The vehicle is roughly about 8 stud wide with some area a bit more than that. I believed it reflects the size of a real big truck which an Optimus Prime is. 2 mini figures are fitted in. The "Energon/the Matrix of Leadership" stuff is placed under the middle of the dash board. Optimus and Jazz!!! Start to transform!!! The design of the forearm is one of the hardest part of the modification. I have spent a lot of time to solve the problem of the transformation. See the leg extendable system. There is a lock to hold the upper component after stretch to ensure it is not slide down due to the heavy weight of the body. The big panel covering the robot head can be folded back in after the head turn out, so that to make the body shape looks slimmer and better. Transformation completed! The foot is one of my favourite part of this creation. The back of the legs show the veins of the bottom of the vehicle. See the vehicle head light glasses are placed underneath of the forearms. Most of the body's articulation are using ball joints so to create better stability and it can do different pose. Open up the chest and see the "Energon/the Matrix of Leadership" stuff inside. Thank you for watching!
