Why?
M/S Estonia . MS Estonia, previously Viking Sally (1980–1990), Silja Star (–1991), and Wasa King (–1993), was a cruise ferry built in 1979/80 at the German shipyard Meyer Werft in Papenburg. The ship sank in 1994 in the Baltic Sea in one of the worst maritime disasters of the 20th century. It is the deadliest shipwreck disaster to have occurred in the Baltic Sea in peacetime, costing 852 lives. The real ship had white funnel and mast, but my model has a yellow ones, because i was really short with white parts.I hope you still like it! . Work in progress. The ship was laid down and some building has been done.0 Deck base and sides are done. The ship now has blue stripes and windows and 9th Deck is created. The infamous bow visor is in place and operational in the first time. The stern side of the 9th deck is in progress. The ship is nearly finished.Only the rescue boats will be placed onto the deck. "Estonia" completed in the ship yard and is prepared for launching. "Estonia" first time outside of the shipyard. Side view. The real ship is 155m long, but this model is 90 studs long The stern. You can spot the detailed rail on the sun deck. Detailed rails in closer look. Bow and decks from bird's eye. The infamous bow visor is raiseable on this model. The side view while visor is open. The visor is slightly too long im afraid. Upper sun deck with black rails.Real ship had only white rails, but i was short with whites and i used black ones instead. Small locator in the bow,to control frontal area. The bridge, where from the "mayday" call was sent out in 28th September in 01:22. The helicopter patch in the upper deck. Decks in bird's eye look. Goodbye picture.Rest in peace all souls, who didn't survive in this tragical stormy night in 28th September 1994.RIP..
