PS Mk II "Shin" Hardsuit . The hard suit used by Project SCION. . The PS Mk II was developed specifically for Project SCION since its users interface directly with the suit via their implanted neurological chips. These suits are equipped with the largest and heaviest weapon systems carried by hard suits. SCIONs continued to use these suits even after the widespread use of Mobile Core units for various infiltration missions. These suits have been nicknamed "Shinigami" by observers, or "Shin" for short, due to the amount of death and destruction caused when they arrive. The "Gunner" variant is equipped with a .50-caliber Heavy Machine Gun (HMG). As the SCIONs say, "There is no such thing as overkill." The HMG is supplied by a back-mounted ammunition drum. A grenade launcher is used by the "Heavy" variant. Spare grenades are mounted on the back. Considered "small" by SCION standards, the sniper rifle goes with the "Recon" variant. Although the suit can easily wield the rifle with both hands, a bipod is included just in case. Extra sniper rifle magazines are stored on the back of the suit. *Editor's Notes* I have had the design around forever, and I honestly forget where the inspiration came from. I have searched MOCpages trying to find the original, and have come up short. So unfortunately I cannot give inspirational credit to whom it is deserved. Project SCION can be found here.
