Pre 1975 Car Contest Results . DO NOT RATE! . Sorry for the short delay with the results, but now they are here ;) View the group for more information on this contest, and all the entries.
In fifth place, we have Marcus Paul's beautifully built Rolls Royce Phantom II Drophead. There were some heavyweight entries in this contest, but this looked so perfect that I felt it deserved a place in the top five, despite its small size.
In fourth, there is Dohoon Kim's very accurate Porsche 917. There are some great techniques throughout this model, and it captures the spirit of the 917 perfectly. Now I must get round to commenting on it ;)
In third place is Nick Barrett's characterful Porsche 356 Speedster. It took me a while to decide which of Nick's entries was the best - I eventually decided on the Porsche, though I'm sure some would disagree!
In second place, we have Thomas Graafland's '32 Maybach DS8 Zeppelin. Despite knowing next to nothing about the real car, I thought the model was absolutely brilliant, and was beautifully shaped.
And finally, in first place, is Malte Dorowski's superb Porsche Carrera GTS. In my opinion, this one of the most beautiful cars there has ever been, and Mr. Dorowski definitely did it justice. And of course, it is finished off in Malte's usual flawless style.
Here are the rest of the entries. All of them were of a very high quality, which made it very difficult to choose the top five. To view them all, please visit the group.
Thanks for viewing, and I hope those who participated enjoyed it as much as I did!
