Why?
Rescue 2 RAPID & Mini-Pumper 1 . . Rescue 2 RAPID, or RAPID 2, is a 2012 Ford F-450 extended cab with a body by Reading. RAPID stands for Rapid Apparatus Placement in Innercity Deployment. RAPID units respond ahead of a responding company, and because of their small size are able to reach the scene quicker. Main duties of a RAPID unit are to secure the scene for the incoming company, and perform basic duties if needed. Rescue 2's RAPID carries a battery-powered Genesis combi tool, BLS kit, scene safety equipment, generator, scene lights, and step chocks for vehicle stabilization. Mini-Pumper 1 is a 2012 Ford F-350 with a mini-pumper body by Pierce. MP-1 features a 500 GPM pump, 500 gallon tank, and a 1" booster reel. Mini-Pumper 1 always responds when Engine Co. 1 responds, as well as on its own to certain incidents. **NOTES** Small doesn't always mean weak! These two Fords were fun to build and are very useful around the city. RAPID 2 features my all-new 5-wide F-450 design. Tell me what you think!
