GSX-K22 Aquila . The Aquila is a next-generation transformable flight-type AF, a multirole fighter with an emphasis on flight mode dogfighting. . The product of data gleaned from the lifespans of the Mercury, Elysion and Tornado, the Aquila combines several design philosophies for transforming AF frames into a highly innovative new machine. Articulated thrust bodies allows the Aquila a high degree of thrust vectoring both in and out of its flight mode. While capable of carrying weapons into combat, the Aquila must be outfitted with disposable docking clamps to carry weapons in flight mode. Its fixed weapons include a pair of high-output beam launchers built into its thrust bodies. The flight mode of the Aquila actually outperforms its AF mode relative to other AF with similar designs. Careful effort was directed at compacting the body into a sleek 'delta' shape as well as preventing the wings and tail fins from obstructing mobility in AF mode.
