FDNY Engine 54 ''Never Missed a Performance'' . . My newest second fire truck, this one is a lot better than the first one, surely. It's Engine 54 ''Never Missed a Performance'', from New Yorks one and only Fire Department: FDNY. Hope you like it.
If you know which rig I replicated (is it a Seagrave, is it a Pierce etc.), tell me, cause I don't know...
And a very little credit to Sven Jagdmann, I saw his idea of turning the sirens 45 degrees so they look like the FDNY sirens.
Side, with the light grey center piece in all it's button-and-dialness...
3/4 view from the other side, the center grey piece has hose connections here.
3/4 rear view, Sirens, some inlays for beams, and a ladder. Not that detailed ladder, but it was difficult for this scale.
Interior, rather simple, Place for four firemen, and a steering wheel.
The reference pic I used when I built this model. Not owned by me, just to let you see the real truck. And I used other pics for the rear and right side.
Please rate and comment!
Oh, and to you fire specialist MOCers: please don't be too picky about the model (like ''you forgot a dial on the side''), I made this truck with attention to detail, not for every single dial on the side.
Please forget my first truck too, It was my first try and too hard for a first try. And I made a snorkel instead of a ladder. FAIL. So here's a not ladder, found by Google...
