EFS Equinox . Equinox is a pyxis-class corvette. Earth Force uses these vessels mainly for border patrols and supporting tasks. . Specs Length: 234m Width: 48m Height: 54m Weapons Turbo-Lasers: 10 Particle canons: 2 Propulsionsystem MK4 FTL jumpdrive MK5 sublight engines Crew Officers: 5 Crewmen: 80 Vehicles Fightercraft: 6 Current ship status: presumed destroyed Contact to the Equinox was lost a few weeks ago, while the ship was engaged in an search & rescue mission. So far nothing is known what happened to the vessel. The pyxis class corvette is a rather small vessel compared to aries-class frigates or the even bigger libra-class destroyers. It's armament is primarily designed to attack smaller ships, such as scouts and raiders. The powerful sublight engines make the pyxis a preffered patrol-ship. Fighter Equinox is equipped with six fighters, which can support the ship in patrol and intercept operations. The pyxis-class uses external docking ports for the fighters, similar to the aries class. Particle canons The pyxis class uses standard particle canons of earth force. Pyxis class & Aries class Equinox alongside the bigger aries-class frigate.
