LotR: Battle of Helmīs Deep . Hereīs the first of my LotR displays. I will add more soon. . I started a series of Lord of the Rings displays as I am a big LotR fan. Here we have the battle of Helmīs Deep, where King Theoden and his people with the help of Aragorn, Gimli, Legolas and Haldirs elfs have to defeat the fortress against an enormous army of Sarumanīs Uruk-Hai. Ok, this is mainly built with the LEGO Sets 9474 and 9471, but I added a moddy area in front of the fortress (remember itīs raining during the battle) and as Helmīs Deep is built into the mountain I added a part of the cave where the women and kids are hiding. Also the inner circle can be taken off to allow more play space (as my son loves to defeat the fortress again and again) The whole thing can be easily devided into parts to stow and carry: And now some details to enjoy: Kill him, Legolas! the king himself The attack of the portal (btw I like the idea that the Uruk-Hai copy the Roman way of defense) Gandalf to the rescue!
