the Beacon . . Category 21: Will it float? Team: the Maersk Blues 2013 MOCAthalon Team: the Maersk Blues I knew I didn't want to build anything boat-ish for this category so I really went with my own style on this. Imagine the build sitting in a sea of crystals with rocks popping out and the beacon emerging from the sea/lake/whatever. Close ups: 5 easy steps to make your build float: 1. get a tub 2. get some balls (tape was used to close the seam, those balls keep the build afloat for a limited time only, the tape ensures the balls stay water-tight for multiple hours) 3. use 30 year old base plates 4. put your build in the water 5. enjoy yourself shooting pics and video More than enough clearance Yes it floats: Flickr video link
