I Like Me some Rocks! . A portion of "The Wizard of Oz" collaboration from VirtuaLUG - for the 2013 Brickworld Chicago event. . Although I've not been nearly as active in the hobby as I used to be, I'm still building from time to time. These past few months were dedicated to helping out with a small (and rather non-glamorous) portion of a large project with VirtuaLUG. Each year the LUG has been collaborating on a specific project for Brickworld. As many of you have already seen through other posts, this year's project was The Wizard of Oz. Here's a link to a video featuring the final product: The Wizard of Oz Meanwhile, I thought I'd post a few shots of my contribution. I love doing landscaping, and this portion was created to support Chris Phipson's Witches Castle. I had to ease up a bit on the variety of angles and textures for the sake of stability and transportation. Nevertheless, there were some nice areas that came about within the overall build. Hope ya enjoy... Some WIP shots: ....aaaaand the final product once again: And just a side note here for all the regulars on MOCpages ready to stone me to death for STILL not having the Eye of Chaos done...She's on her way. No more side projects now, and all I have left is to cap off the end with some engines. Hope to post the final creation some time around fall or early winter...FINALLY!!!!!! Cheers, gang!
