LIU SuperTanker . Deliver precious fuel to your fleet with this state of the art transport. . The LIU Super Tanker - Mobile Fuel Center
The Ludgonian Industrial Union, along with the Octan Corporation®, have designed one of the greatest mobile fuel tankers the universe have ever seen. Whether it is used for trade or war, the LIU SuperTanker completes its task better than anyone around. Buy, rent, or lease one today!*
*Note: Renters or leasers must pay a deposit of 500,000,000,000 credits.
Five tanks can hold any fuel cargo you desire, although we recommend Octan High Performance Fuels.
The LIU SuperTanker appears unarmed, but it is not. Hidden under the hull are compartments of heat-seeking rockets. Firing rockets at close range vehicles is not recommended, as it might set off your fuel cargo...destroying your ship..
The LIU SuperTanker's trademarked fuel nozzle. Fuel your ships via this adjustable nozzle. Aligning your ship perfectly is not practical, especially in mid-battle. Just get close and this nozzle will seek you. The camera aids the nozzleman inside the ship and the antennas are for short range communications.
Here you can see the two long range antennas as well as the steering thruster. This thruster can spin 360 degrees. It is used to make tight turns and to adjust horizontally when docking.
Here you can see the transmitter(You can place your company logo on the transmitter, like the wonderful Octan Corporation). Behind it is the radar system.
The LIU SuperTanker's magnetic shield system. Two super magnetic discs are forced a few inches apart and spun rapidly around each other. The resulting magnetic field can repel the most powerful weapons. Also note the small cylinder above the shield generator, it is a exhaust port for the filtration system. More on it next.
Just below the shield generator is the filtration system. Fuel is fed through this cylindrical filter before it exits the tank. This removes any debris picked up inside the tank. That way, only pure fuel makes it out, like Octan High Performance Fuel.(Sorry we keep saying that, but they pay us alot.)
The LIU SuperTanker's main thrusters. The three smaller thrusters, lined up vertically, are fusion powered and are for acceleration purposes. The two larger, side thrusters are hyperdrive engines that engage only after the fusion thrusters get the SuperTanker up to speed. These are particle fed and require no energy from the ship.
A closer view of one of the hyperdrive engines. In the front, you can see the hyperdrive's scoop, which collects space particles and converts them into energy and thrust.
In front of the scoop, under the filtration system is one of the external fuel tanks. There is one on each side of the SuperTanker. These can be filled with a small amount of your fuel cargo, disengaged, and sent to a nearby ship.
Here is the bridge. Four positions exist on the LIU SuperTanker's bridge: the upper right position is the pilot, the upper left position is engineering officer(he monitors the shields and engines), and the bottom positions are communication officers (they monitor communications and radar).
Behind the bridge is the nozzleman station. With the aid of the forward camera and advanced sensors, the nozzleman pilots the SuperTanker's adjustable nozzle.
Behind the nozzleman is the quality control station. Here, a scientist can take samples of the fuel and test it for quality. He can also add additives from here. Octan High Performance Fuel has never failed a quality control test.
This is the quartermaster station. This person handles the stressless task of monitoring the five tanks' capacity. Behind this station is the door to the shield room.
The SuperTanker devotes an entire room to its shields. A high level engineer monitors, adjusts, and fixes the shields. The transparent yellow, atomic generator powers the magnetic shield system. It is self-sufficient and does not rely on the ships power systems. The SuperTanker's powerful shields allow it to refill your ship in the middle of a dangerous battle.
The next room is home to the SuperTanker's dispatch office. Here, an officer arranges deliveries or sets up times for other ships to refuel. This room is really important if you plan to use the SuperTanker in a battle fleet. The Supertanker can download your ship's information and monitor your fuel from a distance. When your in need, the ships responds and meets your needs.
More of the dispatch office. Note the storage room to the left. Fuel additives and the hatch to the engineering bay are in the storage room.
Below the dispatch office and storage room is the engineering deck. The picture shown here is the engine and generator room. Engineers monitor both systems from here.
Adjacent to the engine and generator room is the fire suppression station. A highly trained and highly paid engineer monitors this system at all times. The smallest fire could spell doom for this ship that is loaded with highly flammable fuel.
Note: The LIU SuperTanker was designed to use with Octan High Performance Fuels. Using other fuels may damage the SuperTanker's systems. The LIU and the Octan Corporation® can not be held liable if you use alternative fuels. All warranties are voided if you use a fuel other than Octan High Performance Fuels. Renter and leasers forfeit their deposit if alternative fuels are used. For the love of god, just use Octan High Performance Fuels.
