Guardian of the Emerald . . I've wanted to build a sea serpent for months now, and the Legends of Brickdom Global Adventure Challenge gave me a good excuse to do so. Unfortunately, I'm a supreme procrastinator so I built this whole thing in three very intense days. Still, it turned out better that I expected, and is likely one of my favourite creations I've done. This boat was a quick, semi Asian inspired build. Jabba's sail barge's sails were fun to work with. The sea serpent. A real pain to build, but so cool to see come to life. (Figuratively...) The head posed a challenge as I'd used 99% of my brown plates on the body... Thanks to a super large Bricklink order I'd received a couple weeks ago I still had tons of great pieces to play around with. I've been wanting to use 2x2 round tiles as scales for almost a year, and they really do work well. Striking cobra! The serpent was a fun sculpt. I'm no Shifio Factory, but I think it turned out nicely. Thanks for stopping by!
