Some Stuff I Made . Just pootling around, snapping bricks together as you do... . First, an adaptation of one of the models illustrated in the outer ideas pages of an early Technic instruction book; with the refinements of chain drive and suspension... A little RC car, with suspension and a strong structure - works well, and it's robust, although the dog can still outrun it... Boldly going.... ... Where Navy Person and Chris Roach have been before... Just had to make what the 8x8 dish could have been made for! Technic set 8480, the Space Shuttle, is pretty spectacular. Trouble is, it takes up a lot of room... ... Unless you build a stand for it. Now it just needs rockets. Here's an oldie; the first Technic car chassis, set 853 from 1977. With a twist... ... and not just the twist in the chassis ... suspension! Struts at the front, located by lower links. Technically, this is a sliding pillar suspension, as fitted to old Morgans. At the back, a compact live axle on four links. And a diff! The lego differential wasn't invented in 1977... It's all done with the aim of keeping it looking as standard as possible. 'OK. You said you'd build me a house. All I see is a door! If you don't hurry up I'm moving to Mueslixtenstein!*' Another oldie, the first Technic crane this time - set 855 (1978) doing a most un-855-like thing. It steers! Hurrah! There's another control to turn the superstructure as well. Another one that looks as standard as possible, including those do-it-yourself stabilizers... The latest issue of the 2CVGB Club magazine... very nice people! A few (minor!) jobs to do... That's all folks! For now... *Ask matt rowntRee.
