MA/14 M.C. Escher . Category: M.C. Ecsher Team MOC-Speed . For the 2014 MocAthalon In this MOC, I attempted (with pretty good results) M.C. Escher's work of Ascending and Descending. I also through in some impossible supports (in explanation picture). Hope you enjoy, because it was a pain to get the angles to work out right. Here is what the set-up was You'll notice that the pillar in the very back wasn't actually supporting the balcony. From the main picture, it looks like the one soldier is leaning back against one of the arches. The pillars are angled relative to their bases to make them look like they are straight up and down relative to the camera angle. The main wall is also angled quite a bit even though that is not apparent from the main photo. Of course, the highlight is how it seems that the soldiers are constantly going up and down the same set of stairs continually. Here is a nicer view of the main photo GO Team MOC-Speed! Thanks for looking, God bless! David FNJ
