Tales of the Black Frieghter . Chuck Norris watches the Watchmen . Clinging to the memory of my wife's eyes, I dragged men up from underground, sand trickling from their sockets. Removing their clothing, I tore it to ribbons, binding them together. By afternoon, I'd felled enough young palms to build the deck of my conveyance, affixing it to the human float beneath. Satisfied, I waited for the dusk and ebb tide, then embarked, heading east. East, across the night sea. East, borne on the baked backs of murdered men. This vig is from Tales of the Black Freighter, comic within Alan Moore's groundbreaking graphic novel "The Watchmen". The issue shown in The Watchmen chronicle a castaway's increasingly desperate attempts to return home to warn his family of the impending arrival of the Black Freighter, a phantom pirate ship which houses the souls of the damned.
