Heavily Modified LAAT/i Republic Gunship 7163 . Here is my modified LAAT/i Republic Gunship. Its about 2 years in the making, and I think its turned out pretty well so far. I've added a missile loader, a speeder bike cargo hold, air to air missiles under the wings, missiles in the sliding doors, and a med bay. I also improved the missile launcher itself, lengthened the ball turrets, improved the troop bay, and completely re-did the sliding bay doors. . Here is my modified LAAT/i Republic Gunship. Its about 2 years in the making, and I think its turned out pretty well so far. I also improved the missile launcher itself, lengthened the ball turrets, improved the troop bay, and completely re-did the sliding bay doors. It now holds about 18 troops. Close up of the modified missile launcher, now much more screen accurate. The missile loading system, I snagged the general build from builder Padawan 716, check his Gunship out here More pics of my precious missile loader, note that when you turn one of the gears, the other one turns in the opposite direction. This was the last modification a made. Ah, the speeder bike hanger, a detail LegoŽ just added. Mine also fits a speeder bike (I did it before they did! I just didn't post it until now...). This was one of the first mods I added, I went through a lot a different designs on this one, I think I'm happy with it though... Just a few pictures showing how the speeder bike deploys... A view into the infantry bay from the back trough the speeder bay. A view of the infantry bay without the speeder. And one with the speeder. My wing-mounted air to air rockets. Nothing fancy. A side view. My modified wings. These took me about 4 days to decide that I was done. I really am happy with how they turned out. The other side. Note the two missiles in the lower right hand corner of the door. These are actually supposed to be their as they are depicted in several star wars cross-sections. You can see a little bit of them here but I wasn't able to find the picture that really shows them :( Close up of the rockets. As far a I know, I'm the first to have made these. A birds-eye view of the med-bay I put in. I tried to be as screen accurate as I could. (btw, is it really called "screen-accurate" when I am basing it off of the official Star Wars cross-sections?) With the cabinets open. Here you can see the ladder I added. this is how the pilots get out of the gunship. this is also "screen accurate" The ladder folded down. In the following pics I try to show just how many troopers I can cram in there. I have 19 crammed in, there should be 30, but I could probably fit another 7 in if I took the speeder bike out... A nice "good bye" view of the gunship. This is the last thing droids see when they see a gunship.
