Heavily Modified LAAT/i Republic Gunship 7163 . Here is my modified LAAT/i Republic Gunship. Its about 2 years in the making, and I think its turned out pretty well so far. I've added a missile loader, a speeder bike cargo hold, air to air missiles under the wings, missiles in the sliding doors, and a med bay. I also improved the missile launcher itself, lengthened the ball turrets, improved the troop bay, and completely re-did the sliding bay doors. . Here is my modified LAAT/i Republic Gunship. Its about 2 years in the making, and I think its turned out pretty well so far. I also improved the missile launcher itself, lengthened the ball turrets, improved the troop bay, and completely re-did the sliding bay doors. It now holds about 18 troops.

More pics of my precious missile loader, note that when you turn one of the gears, the other one turns in the opposite direction. This was the last modification a made.
Ah, the speeder bike hanger, a detail LegoŽ just added. Mine also fits a speeder bike (I did it before they did! I just didn't post it until now...). This was one of the first mods I added, I went through a lot a different designs on this one, I think I'm happy with it though...

My modified wings. These took me about 4 days to decide that I was done. I really am happy with how they turned out.
The other side. Note the two missiles in the lower right hand corner of the door. These are actually supposed to be their as they are depicted in several star wars cross-sections. You can see a little bit of them here but I wasn't able to find the picture that really shows them :(

In the following pics I try to show just how many troopers I can cram in there. I have 19 crammed in, there should be 30, but I could probably fit another 7 in if I took the speeder bike out...
A nice "good bye" view of the gunship. This is the last thing droids see when they see a gunship.
