Why?
Tsar Cannon as a LEGO CAD design . One supersized Battle Cannon, do you want frys with that? A CAD MOC of the Tsar Cannon . Tsar Cannon as a LEGO CAD design One supersized Battle Cannon, do you want frys with that? This CAD design made the front page at Classic-Pirates.com! I should say that I have seen the Tsar Cannon in person last year (2008) when I was in Moscow and visited the Kremlin. A quick CAD MOC of the Tsar Cannon. I wanted a picture with a person in it for size reference, the person is not me. I will not be building this, If you want to, comment and I'll give you the parts list and count. I am sure you can make it more decorative than my CAD drawing. The only hard part in the design was finding: 'Wheel Spoked 7 x 7 x 2 & 2/3' (55817) I added a Turntable 2 x 2 Plate with a Plate, Modified 1 x 2 with Long Towball so you could hitch a few (4 or 6) horses to it. Why do colors look weird? Actually, that's the color of the green patina (rust if you want) formed when bronze (in this case) is weathered/exposed to air over a period of time. And I checked that colors available for the cannon barrel parts, like 3063 comes in both green and sand green. The interesting thing about the sand green 3063 part is that the only appearance of it was: SandGreen: 4 in 3450-1 - Statue of Liberty Sculpture (2000) for exactly this reason, The Statue of Liberty has a green patina!!! Also you are not likely, to make this MOC in these colors because of the cost of 40 sand green 3063s, bricklink Price Guide for the SandGreen 3063. Of course you could use less "weird" and less expensive colors... The sand green makes for a nice patina color as the Tsar Cannon is today, but dark orange would resemble the bronze best when it is "new", this is that color I use in my bronze swivel guns. However 3063s don't come in the dark orange color, your best bet is one of the gray(s) or stone(s) colors.
