Why?
Hurricane Heavy Assault Craft . The Hurricane is a heavy assault troop carrier for Lego Space Force . Thank you for checking out my creation! The idea for this creation began with a bag of about 100 yellow Futuron minifigs that I had bought a while ago. I wanted to incorporate them, or at least some of them, into a creation. So I had the idea of a large gunship for the Lego Space Force, capable of transporting many troops from planet to planet. The Hurricane is both heavily armored and well armed. It carries 16 high yield air to surface missiles in it's underwing pylons. At the wing roots and tail are rotating heavy laser cannons. The dorsal hump features 3 quad laser cannon turrets for offense and defense when supporting troop deployment. The Hurricane is no slump for size, especially it's massive engines. In addition to being a very sturdy weapons platform the troops carried inside are well protected by thick armor on all sides. The broad delta wings not only aid in atmospheric repulsor "flight" but also provide important cover from aerial attacks on deploying ground troops. The forward ramp being deployed. Forward ramp extended. Rear troop ramp closed. Rear troop ramp open. A closer view of some of the greebling. Quad laser turrets on top. Powerful engines! While there are 4 main engines, only two are needed most of the time. Full interior view. Close up of the control cabin. The pilot is in center flanked by weapons crew. Troops galore! The comm officer and rear weapons crew situated in the tail of the ship. An underside view showing the missile pods and the landing gear. Rear landing gear extended. I used a simple brick hinge design. Landing gear retracted.
